Tomasz Poznar, Ph.D. is the Chief Commercial Officer at Cyclic Materials. He brings extensive experience in the battery and advanced engineering materials industry across multiple functional areas, including strategic partnerships, business development, and product planning. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in investment and fundraising, supporting the growth of advanced technology companies at critical stages of their development.
Tomasz has demonstrated a strong track record of closing multi-billion dollar contracts, forming strategic partnerships including joint ventures, and orchestrating the international expansion of advanced technology companies. He has deep experience working across North America, Europe, and Asia, including leading and managing global cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and cultures. He brings a rare combination of deep technical knowledge and commercial acumen that has enabled him to operate effectively across complex global markets.
He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ascend Elements, where he led commercial strategy, government relations, and large-scale project investment. His achievements include securing some of the largest offtake contracts and strategic partnerships in the battery materials sector, as well as landmark government grant and loan facilities that became a cornerstone of the company's growth and international expansion.
Prior to Ascend Elements, Tomasz held a senior role at A123 Systems where he was responsible for corporate strategy and business development. His earlier career includes executive and engineering roles at EnerDel, Delco Remy, and Volvo, giving him deep expertise across lithium battery technology and vehicle electrification.
Tomasz holds a Doctor of Engineering from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
